Rekindling my joy for hands-on creativity.

A bit more about ME

Hello, my name is Teresa, aka Tree, a wife of 23 years, a mom of four, and a Graphic Designer. I have designed mostly from home—off and on for 15 years. Although I have worked for different types of jobs, designing was not my main responsibility (except for one). Still, I must say I have had fantastic opportunities working with many terrific people and businesses. I really do enjoy doing hands-on projects—from food to crafts to writing. Since I was a little girl, I have enjoyed being creative and making things. My dad, my inspiration, as I watched him build, make and create all sorts of things. For years I have caught myself saying, “I can make/do that” (my husband can attest). But of course, follow-through didn’t come. There is an overwhelming amount of creativity flowing through the internet—put out by clever individuals—blessed—with God-given talents, gifts, and skills. One of my favorite places to search for ideas is Pinterest, which is full of exceptional content. Perhaps because of a lack of time, or very likely due to a sense of intimidation of failure, my pins sat for years. That is until 2020—and amidst COVID-19 stay-at-home orders—there has been a lot of unpinning going on in my home. What I mean is I finally had the courage to take some pins I so enthusiastically saved and bring them to life! Wow! I am just amazed at how much one can accomplish with a little extra time on our hands—and a “can do” attitude. I have taken on some challenging projects—including crafts, DIY self-haircuts, food recipes, and even exercises. Even so, there are still many more extraordinary ideas I want to unpack. In my eagerness to cultivate my creative skills—I am equally excited to share with you this journey as it unfolds. Likewise, I will be contributing some of my own creations, recipes, and freebies—keep an eye out for those as well. Lastly, I pray that this blog encourages others like me, who have ever said “one day I will do this or that”; to really branch out—to grow—to be more active doers while exploring their God-given untapped potential.
